Iowa State Defender Fools Refs With Most Obvious Fake Cramp In College Football History

If you’ve been watching football for a long time, then you’ve seen your fair share of fake injuries from players who are trying to avoid penalties, get a rest, and/or stop the other team’s momentum.

Iowa State’s Everett Edwards gave us our latest example of this. Worst fake cramp ever and it still worked!

In an effort to avoid getting flagged for having 12 men on the field, Edwards decided to fake a cramp while running to the sideline. Only problem was there weren’t too many men on the field in the first place.

He still managed to fool the officials and get his team an injury timeout.

Two plays after the fake cramp, Iowa State was able to intercept the football.
