Constables Alex Prentice and Debbie Wishart had been called out to a property in Corby, Northamptonshire, when they were confronted by knifeman Lee Vickers, who was brandishing a large kitchen knife. As the two officers shouted at Vickers to put down the blade, he lunged at them with the terrifying exchange captured on a camera mounted on PC Prentice’s uniform.

PC Wishart and PC Prentice then beg him ‘put down the knife’, to which Vickers can be heard saying to PC Prentice: ‘Come on, come on then. Me and you now.’ Eventually, PC Wishart managed to distract Vickers before PC Prentice, using his police baton, managed to restrain and disarm him. He was then arrested for possession of an offensive weapon and the attempted assault.
