Our world has come to a time when hovering modes of transport are fast becoming a reality. If we can explore space, we should definitely have the tech to create hoverbikes, and the U.S. Army has plans to use them for military operations.
U.K.-based company Malloy Aeronautics has been developing a hoverbike through a Kickstarter campaign, but it seems that their project has taken a new direction after the U.S. Department of Defense announced a deal with the company to develop their hoverbike for the U.S. Army.
According to the developers, their hoverbike is ideal for search and rescue or cargo transport and reconnaissance missions since it can run on any terrain and more maneuverable in tight spaces.
After building a working full-scale model, the DoD will proceed to design military-grade prototype. I’m thinking along the lines of a Star Wars speeder bike.
Do you think this will work well with the U.S. military’s operations? Share your thoughts by sharing this video!
